Garden Club of Fleming Island
he Garden Club of Fleming Island would like to welcome all gardening enthusiasts and garden admirers who want to learn more about Florida gardening and be a part of fun community events. We meet monthly throughout the year with high level educational programs on horticulture, conservation, flower arranging, and environmental issues. We are also involved in community projects and fundraising events which give us an opportunity to bring the joy of gardening to the public. The garden club is actively maintaining the garden in front of the Headquarters library and the Blue Star Marker garden. We participate in the Parade of Trees (Green Cove Springs), St. John’s River Clean-Up, Arbor Day Tree Planting, summer camp scholarships at Camp Wekiva and SEEK (Save the earths environment through knowledge), and more. Our goals are to increase knowledge through top-rated educational programs, introduce members to community service projects for beautification and conservation, and help raise public awareness on ecological issues facing all gardeners.

We meet on the second Monday of the month August through May at 10 AM at the Fleming Island Headquarters Library. Our meetings include a speaker, a social time (with lovely food) and then a business meeting. These events are free and open to the public.
