The local Garden Club of Fleming Island was incorporated in the fall of 2011.  In 2022, the club obtained its 501(c)3 status.  We are one of  13 clubs in the Florida District IV.

There are 12 Districts, 156 clubs with 10,680 members in Florida under the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC). 

The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC) is one of 6 southeastern states that make up the Deep South Region (DSR).

The Deep South Region (DSR) is one of 8 regions within the United States that makes up the National Garden Club (NGC).

The National Garden Club encompasses all 50 states with 8 regions and have 4,000 clubs made up of 136,000 members.

 

 

The first garden club in America was founded in January, 1891 by the Ladies Garden Club of Athens, GA.  Now, it is headquartered in St. Louis, MO.  NGC is the largest volunteer organization of its type in the world.  Our members come together to create a powerful international voice and synergistic network for advancing common interests.
